Have you ever wished you could inspire others to do exactly as you wished? Do not feel bad, many people do wish they possessed that skill. Part of being able to inspire others to do your will is by being a great leader. Poor leadership skills will get you nowhere. The next couple of weeks I intend on discussing the things that make a person a great leader that can inspire anyone to do their bidding.
To be a great leader you need to be a visionary. You need to be able to envision a picture of what you want, as small as a task completed or as big as how you want your future to be. When you have a clear picture of what you want, a great leader can portray that picture onto others to help them achieve the goal. However, to get the best picture of what you want to achieve be it at home or in business is to get as many ideas and as much support as you can to help create the vision.
A little inspiration quote for you in closing…

That's a great quote and oh so true. No one gets anywhere by them selves. You also can't live without affecting others. No man is an island, even if they are convinced that they are.
ReplyDeleteI never really thought of being an inspiration to others. I guess it would be nice. Mostly I try to do the best job I can. I guess that can be an inspiration in itself.
ReplyDeleteI've always considered myself a good leader. I try to help others and inspire them. It would be nice if someone recognized my efforts so I would know how I was doing.
ReplyDeleteGreat leaders aren't born, they're modeled. They learn from others, adding their own twist and go from there. You never stop learning just because you're a leader. If you do, you won't be leading for long.
ReplyDeleteYou need to be inspired yourself before you can inspire others. Some people think inspiration is going to come knocking at the door. Wrong. You have to work for it, nurture it, and then share it.
ReplyDeleteInspiration is a two way street. You need to be able to give, but at the same time they need to be willing to accept. If either end is weak, it won't work no matter how hard the other person tries.
