Inspiration all day long!

Tip one in being a great leader was having the skill of being a visionary. Tip two is being Inspirational. If you have a vision, you have to be able to sell that vision. You cannot do that if you are not inspirational. You have to be able to inspire everyone involved to see and want what you do. Does this mean you have to be some great speaker or have the charm of a snake charmer – no- although those skills do not hurt to have, they are not mandatory in order to get your vision across to others. Some great leaders were low key leaders. Your words and actions speak the loudest. This again doesn’t mean you have to give long drawn out motivational speeches to get others to do what you desire, it is the impact of your words, no matter how few, that make the difference.

A little inspiration quote for you in closing… “It is through cooperation, rather than conflict, that your greatest successes will be derived…” ~ Ralph Charell ~

  1. There is an Inspiration Point in a state park in southern Illinois. It's a beautiful spot and I spent a lot of time there, looking and thinking. I wish it were closer to where I live.

  2. I find a lot of my inspiration in books. Sometimes I look at picture books and sometimes I lose myself in a good reading book.

  3. We all need inspiration, or at least I do. I'd like to be able to instill it in others. I don't think I do now.

  4. 2% inspiration to every 98% persperation. That's a combination that works.

  5. I couldn't have said it better myself Buster. All the inspiration in the world won't help if you don't do something with it.

  6. Actions speak louder than words ever could. You can 'talk the talk' but if you don't walk the walk', all the talking in the world won't help.

  7. Speeches rarely inspire anyone. Keep it short and to the point and be willing to listen to the ideas others share. If they are better than your own, use them. That's really all the inspiration you need.

  8. There are days when I need constant inspiration all day long. My mind tends to wonder and I can't stay on task for anything.

  9. Sometimes there's not enough inspiration available to get me through the day. When it gets to that point, I might as well go home. The rest of the day is not going to amount to a hill of beans. I know me.
