I want to take a moment and send out my prayers and thoughts to the wounded and families of those who lost loved ones in the tragic and horrific shooting at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas. Our soldiers make selfless risks to protect us daily. It is horrific enough when we lose brave soldiers in battle but to lose them on our own turf, where they should feel safe is beyond horrific and by the hands of one of our own, absolutely inconceivable and terrifying.
So for today, I just pray that everyone takes a moment to keep the men and women of Fort Hood in their thoughts and prayers and to hold their loved ones just a little bit tighter.

This was a sad day indeed for this country. Our military should be safe in their own country. I really think it was avoidable and that makes it all the more shameful.
ReplyDeleteI guess we're lucky this sort of thing doesn't happen any more often than it does. This world is teetering on the brink of insanity.
ReplyDeleteHopefully this will be a lesson to those in charge to pay more attention to the little details that should have tipped them off this time. It was tragic but maybe the lesson will be learned because of it.
ReplyDeleteI hope there were lessons learned that day and that no one died in vain. I feel sorry for the guy who did it, he must have been really troubled.
ReplyDeleteIt was a sad day indeed. Everyone was totally shocked, including me. It's just not something you would think was remotely possible on American soil. Times are changing.
