What is success but the ability to stand up and dust yourself off when you've been knocked in the dirt? What is prosperity but success achieved in the face of adversity? As we celebrate the 8th anniversary of 9-11 I find myself looking back and remembering the day my colleagues and I spent hours huddled around our desks watching the drama unfold via live video feed on the web, fearful that the nearby military base would be the next to be hit.
We've come a long way since then. From the invasion on the Middle East to the way families have drawn together and put their lives back together after losing loved ones in this terrible tragedy, America has come a long way in a relatively short time. Today, let us take some time to look back and remember those who came before and the sacrifice they made so we could be here, where we are, today.
