Are you intentional in your actions? Are you tough minded in your actions? If you are, then you are both deliberate and determined; both qualities needed to have the right attitude for success.
To be deliberate doesn’t mean like when you was a child and you deliberately did something mean to your brother or sister. Yet in a fashion it does, you meant to do something, set your mind to it, and you did it! Now of course, you’re not setting your mind to deliberately do something to hurt another now, you are deliberately setting your mind to success. Once your mind is set, you can achieve it.
Determination plays a huge role in that as well. If you are not determined to beat all odds, you will fail. You have to have the drive and determination to win at all that you do and when you fail, have the determination to pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and forge ahead.
This week was themed the Right Attitude. The right attitude encompasses optimistic, objectivity, deliberate, and a determined personality. If you carry these traits in your daily life, you already contain the right attitude to succeed in anything you set out to achieve. Have an absolutely wonderful weekend!

Objectivity is the Right Attitude
Objectivity is everything people! If you cannot be objective and see all sides of something how can you make the right decision in anything? The right attitude has the ability to look at all angles of something and be objective. Just because you may think you are brilliant and all your ideas or thoughts are spot on, doesn’t necessarily make it true. By being narrow minded, you are missing a lot of creative and sometimes brilliant input that could be just the idea or thought that could put you over the top in sales or life period.
You have to be able to be honest with yourself. Be able to admit when you are wrong or that you have totally messed up while at the same time be able to give yourself credit when you come shinning through. Being honest with yourself only improves your self-esteem even when you are having to admit to a failure. It shows people you are human and that even in failure you can stand back and look at it objectively and take the corrective measure to make it right. Others can only respect a person like that.
The right attitude is able to look at themselves in all lights objectively. If you cannot do that, then you cannot make well-informed solid decisions, which is not the right attitude to achieve the success of your dreams.

Optimistically Positive
Yesterday I touched on having an optimistic attitude as being a part of the combination to the right attitude to succeed in anything you set your mind to. It is not just important to have an optimistic outlook, it is crucial! No matter what has happened in the past, only you can make a brighter tomorrow. The only way you can achieve that is by having an optimistic personality.
When you have an optimistic personality, good things just naturally happen for you. People enjoy being around you. You inspire others to put negativity at bay and bring out the best in them. There is definitely a connection between success and having an optimistic personality. So if you want to have the right attitude to move forward to the brightest future possible, ditch the negativity and let your optimistic side shine through.

Positively Optimistic
Good morning. In keeping with the theme of the week, The Right Attitude, I want to start by asking you how you felt this morning when you woke. Did you wake with a vibrant and positive attitude ready to take on the day? Or did you wake with an attitude that took a half a pot of coffee to get you heading in the right direction or did you wake with the attitude that you would just as soon go right back to bed?
Did you know that from the minute you rise could determine your entire outlook on your entire day? That is why it is so important to get enough sleep on a regular basis. Something I found a little funny while talking to a friend the other day when talking about sleep was she told me sleep was overrated. Now I have heard this said before. Things like you have plenty of time to sleep when you’re dead, time is a wasting so who has time for sleep, and other similar sayings all relating back as to why 8 hours of sleep are not in the books for them. Now I will be the first to admit that I have pulled some all nighters, and have lacked in sleep more times than I would like to count. However, I have always noticed that my productivity and my attitude is always better when I have had a good nights rest.
Now this brings me to my point, which is being optimistic. No matter how many hours you have to rest your weary body, you have to be optimistic. You have to put on a positive attitude and step up to the plate with a smile. If lack of sleep makes this a difficult task for you, then you really need to make sure you get adequate sleep nightly. If you can pull this off with just a few hours of sleep a night, then you have mastered the right attitude!

The Right Attitude
In business, you have to have the right attitude and this week we are going to discuss the right attitude it takes to make money and succeed in business and in life.
The right attitude will make the difference between success and failure, a hefty bank account or dust bunnies in your pocket. One thing everyone has to keep in mind is that the right attitude doesn’t just apply to the business world, but with family and friends as well - in all aspect of your life.
Part of having the right attitude is being a good leader. A good leader displays qualities to not only exhibit a positive attitude at all times, but the ability to inspire and motivate that same attitude in everyone around them.
Having the right attitude will motivate others to take their negative ways of thinking and turn them around. It will encourage others to see your way of thinking and more likely result in them coming on over to your side of things.
People want to succeed but having the wrong attitude will get in the way of that success. When you come across someone in your life that is notorious for having a negative attitude it is your job as a strong leader to either determine what the problem is and fix it to where their attitude changes, or to eliminate the negativity so it doesn’t reflect on the rest of your crew and your success. When it comes to success, it is true that one bad attitude in the group and cause failure if not put into check. Do you have the right attitude to keep yourself and life in check to succeed in all aspects of your life?

Full Friday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I gained five pounds at least! It was great surrounding myself with family and friends and listening to them share their lives, the good, the bad, and the ugly. There were tears, and there was joy but most of all, there was thanks.
It is sad that we only really take once a year to give thanks for all that we have, all that is available to us, and all that is yet to come. So many things we take for granted and too much time we let pass without really sharing our thanks, especially to those that matter the most to us.
This is also a time though when we can take our thankfulness a step further and help out those who are still in need. It doesn’t necessarily take money, but just a little of your time, or belongings even that you no longer need or use. In closing, I am leaving you with some ideas in how you can give back, to share some of what has made you thankful this holiday season – this year, years past and years to come. Just think, if everyone gave back, just a little in whatever fashion they could showing their thanks for their own bounty just how much nicer of a world this would be.
Ideas for giving back:
Donate blankets to an Oncology unit in a Children’s Hospital.
Raise money for Cancer Research through bake sales, car washes, etc.
Donate used bikes to needy families.
Support and/or volunteer at your local YMCA.
Collect and donate personal care items to homeless shelters.
Volunteer time or animal food at local Animal Shelter.
Donate money/school supplies to local schools.
Help local elderly with yard care, meals, etc.
Donate clothing and infant to child supplies to local Child Welfare offices.
Send books, magazines, treats, personal care supplies, etc to our Soldiers.
Donate your time at any Nursing Home.
I am sure you can come up with a great many more ways you can give back. If it is as small as helping an elderly get their groceries to their car or as big as a large donation to your favorite charity, it doesn’t matter, as long as you are sharing your bounty back. Have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving

Good MORNING and Happy Thanksgiving!! May your day be full of good eats, great conversation, and surrounded by love! I would like to leave you with a Thanksgiving poem I enjoy and my wishes for you to have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
BE THANKFUL
Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a difference.
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

Twas’ the Day Before Thanksgiving….

And all through the house…
Yes, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and if your household is anything like mine you are as busy as can be getting things prepared for your Thanksgiving feast. Some of us will have to endure more than one Thanksgiving feast – not necessarily a bad thing if you ask me and some will be having one huge feast, while others may have a simple Thanksgiving surrounded by just a few. Yet some may be alone on this holiday.
Take the time to reflect on how you will be spending this special day, with family and friends, and then think if you know of anyone who may not have a friendly place to go. Holidays can be hard for many people – lonely. If you know of a neighbor, a single person, elder, or someone displaced from their family during the holidays, extend an open arm and invite them to join in on your festivities. Holidays can be a difficult time for many and when you already have an abundance to be thankful for, spread that abundance with someone who may not. After all, isn’t that what it is all about?
In closing, I wanted to share this cute email I got the other day. I have no idea who wrote it, but enjoy.
May your stuffing be tasty.
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes and gravy
have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious,
and your pies take the prize,
and may your Thanksgiving dinner
stay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Be Thankful ~ You control your destination.

“First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do.” ~ Epictetus
I wanted to start this blog off with that quote. Why? Because that quote is what I have basically been talking about as a whole throughout all my blogs. You can be anything you want to be if you just set your mind to becoming it. It is mind over matter. It is lassoing your subconscious and using the power it holds.
This is a week of giving thanks, and I will be mentioning it quite often through out this week, but one thing many people do not give thanks to is that they have the potential to become whatever they desire with the right attitude and determination. Too many people fall back on excuses as to what they cannot achieve their desires in life when in reality anything is possible. Yes, you will have to work and even have to possibly make sacrifices, but if it is something you truly desire if you put your heart into it you can achieve it.
Today is just as good as any other day and better than tomorrow to start achieving your desires out of life. If you set your mind to it, you can DO IT!

Thankful Monday

Is everybody gearing up for Thanksgiving? Are you getting the belly ready to be overstuffed? Well I know I am. I am guilty of over indulging every year during the holidays and spending the entire next year trying to work it off just so I can do it again. And you know what? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
There are so many things to be thankful for in our lives and one of those things is being able to sit down and reflect on those things we are thankful for with family or friends over a holiday feast. However, at the same time those who do not have the ability to or are unable to enjoy in the same pleasures saddens my heart.
I wish for everyone to be as blessed as I. Being blessed doesn’t mean you have to have great wealth, a fancy car, or a high pollutant job. Yes, those things are nice, but what is more important than all of that is having a true sense of who you are and feeling good about that, having close family and friends, and being genuinely happy. All the money in the world can’t buy that and if you were to fall upon a windfall of money, if you are not genuinely happy it is just money. It cannot change your heart, although many think it can. So, this coming Thanksgiving think about all the things that you are thankful for, not just materialist items, but heart-felt things, things that money cannot buy. Feel free to share those things that make your heart sing.

21st Century Affirmations
With all the technology today, there are many ways to bring affirmations to your day via electronics. From the minute you get up you can be greeted with a positive affirmation from a very familiar voice in your life – yours. There are alarm clocks that allow you to self-record a “wake-up message, a perfect greeting to start your day on a positive note.
You can schedule self-reminders of your affirmations to pop up as you work throughout the day, as well, you can set your screen save to display a scrolling affirmation while at rest. Make video affirmations by creating your very own affirmation slide with pictures that calm and inspire you with your recorded affirmations. Down load it to your iPod or use it for your screen saver, or even a ring tone on your cell.
The old fashion way of simply repeating your affirmations aloud to yourself is still very effective as well as leaving post it notes throughout your home and office to give you those gentle reminders you may need through out the day. The most important thing, no matter how you go about bringing affirmations into your life, is that you just say them, and say them often. My affirmation for today is: “I feel great, I look great, and I am great!” And so are you! Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!
Happy Wednesday, or better known as ump day to many. It is mid week, almost over the hump of the work week, so close to the weekend you can start to feel it. At the same time, Wednesdays and Thursdays can have a tendency to drag along and you begin to think the weekend will never come to light. Ah yes, the shadow of Wednesday looming over many. But it doesn’t have to be, drive it away with your positive affirmations.
How you begin your day, everyday, is a great indicator on how your day will play out. If you “wake up on the wrong side of the bed” as many say, your day can be less than pleasant. However if you wake up with a smile on your face, a positive attitude, you are much more able to deal with anything that can come your way. So you want to make sure you use your affirmations daily even that much more, but just how do you go about creating affirmations. That is a great question.
For one thing you never want to use negative words in your affirmation. Remember, they are one sentence statements. Keep it simple, keep it short, and keep the negativity out of it. In other words – never use words like “never”, “don’t”, “won’t”, “not”. Use beginning words like “I will…”, “I am….” “I can…” etc.
Can you come up with a list of negative words that should never be in an affirmation? Can you come up with a list of positive affirmations? Please share with everyone as many positive affirmations you can think of. You never know, your responses could very well help the next person who reads this blog! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Affirmative Affirmations
For those of you who are wondering what affirmations are and what they are all about, I will break it down for you. Basically, affirmations are positive statement/thought that you repeat to yourself with the reasoning being, if you say it enough it begins to sink into your physic and you being to own it. Just like if a parent tells a child they are bad enough time a child will begin to own that title and visa versa in compliments. How you self-talk can play an active role in how you feel about yourself and the success you achieve in life.
The way affirmations work is you pick an particular thing in your life you would like to see improvements with. Lets say a persons self-esteem has been bruised and needs some boosting up. Some positive affirmations for a person who has a bruised self-esteem can be “I am worthy”, “I love myself because I am a great person.”, “I look great and feel even greater.” Simple statements repeated to ourselves will begin to become embedded in who we are as a person. If you tell yourself you are worthless long enough, you will be just that
Affirmations are used to heighten your mood, give you a better outlook, and to help you just feel good overall. We as humans are already so critical of ourselves and others. If we don’t take care of our emotional and mental well being as actively as we take care of our health we are only cheating ourselves.
The way affirmations work is you pick an particular thing in your life you would like to see improvements with. Lets say a persons self-esteem has been bruised and needs some boosting up. The seminar was FANTASTIC!
The Turning Point Seminar was a great success! It was so good to see so many familiar faces and so many new ones as well! The responses received from those in attendance is what makes he happy to be a part of such a great group.
For those of you who were unable to attend I hope you had a great weekend. Today starts out a new week and I feel totally revitalized and ready to take on the world. Are there certain things that inspire you, that motivate you into feeling like there is nothing you cannot tackle? If so, please share. For me it is being in attendance of positive people who just carry that “go get em” attitude. They are the ones that are always so energetic and can take any bad situation and turn it into something positive. They always know the right thing to say. Do you have anyone like that in your life?
This week I intend on talking a little more about affirmations and how they can help keep you on track, motivate you, and even give you that revitalized feeling you need from time to time. One people think affirmation are a waste of time, and just silly self talk. Well I am not to sure what is silly about pumping yourself up, feeling good about yourself, and gaining that extra boost of self-esteem, but if those things are silly and a waste of time, so be it. I will continue with my daily affirmations.
Do you use daily affirmations in your life? Feel free to share a few of them if you are comfortable doing so. For those of you who are unsure what affirmations are all about, I will go in to more detail in tomorrows’ blog. I hope your Monday is a great one!

A Word of Humbled Thanks to Our Veterans
I was passed this video in an email. Generally, I don’t read to many email forwards but this one was stated to be “special” and caught my attention. I will be forever grateful that I took the time to watch and really listen to this following video. It is absolutely amazing and heart warming. It will make your chest stick out just a little bit farther; your heart fill with warmth, tears of pride, joy, and even some sadness will well up in your eyes. As our UNITED STATES MILITARY sing the BEST EVER NATIONAL ANTHEM! As their voice sing in perfect harmony, when their voices begin to rise, as the audience elate, the pride can be felt. Today is Veterans Day, but for our Military, ever day they risks their lives to continue what our brave soldiers have done for years. So today, and everyday, I salute all the Brave and True United States Military personnel, both past and present for what they risk to sacrifice for my freedom, for your freedom, for everyone’s freedom and safety. Thanks you!

Attract Money
The law of attraction can do more a lot for you than you think. Not only by successfully mastering the law of attraction can you pull in a terrific mate and plenty of attention, you can also pull in some pretty nice money!
The law of attraction basic is believe it, see it, achieve it and if you follow these three things you can attract anything you want. You have to believe in your ability to make things happen. Part of believing is seeing the money in your hand - visualizing it in your bank account and in your hand. If you keep a strong enough faith in yourself and your abilities, it will happen.
Now of course just visualizing a fist full of hundred dollar bills isn’t going to make it appear. You do have to seek it out, but it is how you seek it out that will make the difference if the money exchanges from their hand to yours. You have to believe in yourself, in that whatever it is you do, that you can offer better than anyone else can. It is that “attitude” of confidence that will attract others to believe in you and see your side of things.
If you are feeling it, walking the walk, talking the talk, and believing in yourself, then act on your inspirations. There isn’t much time left to act on the upcoming seminar that can help you to achieve all that you want from life – The Turning Point. If you have already signed up for it – terrific- I look forward to seeing you there. If not – hurry on over to The Turning Point and get your tickets today.

Cool or Not?
This is just going to be a fun blog, a little thought provoking with maybe even a little under-laying meaning. The theme is “what makes you happy”. When you think about the things you enjoy in life, things that make you happy, can you share them all without feeling less than “cool”? Do you have secret passions like a person, food, or form of entertainment such as a band, song, movie, TV show, etc., shopping indulgences, favorite junk-food treats, or trashy paperbacks you hide behind your novels. You know, those things that we truly enjoy but may be a little embarrasses to share with another.
When you are out with your friends, co-workers, or even with family and they start trash talking one of your secret passions, do you pretend you don’t like it as well and then the first thing you do when you get home is get a passion fix out of guilt of trashing it? However, seriously, is pretending to not like something you secretly love “cool”. I mean, really, if you like something, you like it, plain and simple. Your friends may make fun of you for it but if something makes you happy, then it doesn’t really matter. This goes for anything, from clothing (yes, I may shop at Wal-Mart from time to time and could live in sweat pants!), TV shows (“The Golden Girls” and “Rosanne” rule), music or movies.
If you are confident in yourself as a person then you are confident in knowing that there is nothing wrong with having your own taste. You know it is perfectly fine being different from your friends, co-workers, and even family and a big part of what makes you who you are! So be different. Have your own tastes, be your own person, and be proud! So, what are some things that make you happy that other may poke fun at?
Remember, The Turning Point Seminar is coming up next week so if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you best jump on over there today and get in on an opportunity discover all you can be!

Thoughts and Prayers to the Men, Women, and Families of Fort Hood
I want to take a moment and send out my prayers and thoughts to the wounded and families of those who lost loved ones in the tragic and horrific shooting at Fort Hood Army Base in Texas. Our soldiers make selfless risks to protect us daily. It is horrific enough when we lose brave soldiers in battle but to lose them on our own turf, where they should feel safe is beyond horrific and by the hands of one of our own, absolutely inconceivable and terrifying.
So for today, I just pray that everyone takes a moment to keep the men and women of Fort Hood in their thoughts and prayers and to hold their loved ones just a little bit tighter.
So for today, I just pray that everyone takes a moment to keep the men and women of Fort Hood in their thoughts and prayers and to hold their loved ones just a little bit tighter.

Happiness is the Destination
Happiness is the destination we all want to achieve and pursue with all our might from the great job promotion, new car, nice home, and even a beautiful mate. We believe it is only these types of things stopping us from being truly happy with the other side being if we don’t attain them we live life - well- less than happy. However, is happiness really met by merely the things we seek to attain? Could it be we hold to high of expectations on what it takes to be really happy? Do we hold too high of expectations for ourselves?
The TV show 60 Minutes had a segment on saying that the Danes were the happiest people on earth and the reasoning behind it was because their expectations were set low. The Dane believe that if you expect less and get that, then it is expected and not something that leads one to a deep depression or feelings of less. When you achieve more, then all the better. In simple terms – expect less and be happier is the Dane motto.
However, although this may be true to a point, by expecting less you may be happier with what you do achieve, with today’s society in the U.S., it has been beaten in our heads since we opened our eyes and seen the big world outside of what we considered home for 9 months, that things are expected of us right down to the very first cry to clear our newborn lungs and on.
We are told to dream, and reach for our dreams. Everything around us screams bigger and better. And seriously, if you held low expectations, how hard would some really work to achieve anything in this world? There is a healthy balance that has to be met.
Although happiness may be weighed partially on expectations, it shouldn’t just be measured on meeting those expectations. You need to learn to be happy about yourself first because without that your expectations just continue to change, the fancy car becomes not enough that you need the next bigger and better fix. Expectations become somewhat of an addictive behavior always seeking out the next bigger fix and finding regardless if you achieve it or not, you are no more happy than when you were without it. It becomes a vicious cycle.
If you want to be one of those people that have a healthy balance in their life and want to make a positive change in your life- in every aspect of it visit the Turning Point and get ready to step into a brighter future.

What are you Thankful For?

Well Halloween 2009 is behind us now. I hope everyone had a terrific weekend regardless of what you did! However, the passing of October brings us November, and that much closer to the end of the year. Before we know it, 2010 will be here. Are you ready for a new year? Are you even ready for Thanksgiving for that matter? Have you already begun thinking about your New Years Resolutions? Changes you would like to see happen in your life in the coming New Year?
Around this time, everyone starts reflecting on the months that have passed, some questioning how they went by so fast - some regretting things they did not get accomplished, and some wishing it away even faster then its going because it hasn’t been the best year for them. Do you fall into any of those categories? Most fall into at least one of the fore mentioned.
November is the time for reflection – reflection of what we are thankful for and reflection of what we would like to see change and even remain the same. Thanksgiving may be just a holiday for some, a day off work, but the reality of it should be a time to revisit what one is thankful for and what has been and what needs to be changed.
Each and every person holds within them more power than they think to make the changes they want in their life. In a sense, it really is mind over matter. Sometimes it just takes that extra push to get you to where you truly should be, other times it may take a pretty big shove. For those who would rather not be pushed or shoved, there is the Turning Point Seminar that will help you make those changes in your life gently yet extremely powerfully!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to those of you who celebrate this day with Trick and Treating and Halloween Parties! Happy Friday to the rest!
For those of you hitting the Halloween parties or taking little ones trick or treating, remember to be safe! Please do not send your children out trick or treating alone. If you celebrate this occasion, it is a great time to do something together as a family anyways.
For those of you hitting the parties, be careful driving, there are a lot of kids out running the streets. Often times Halloween parties also bring with them alcoholic drinks, so make sure to use common sense. Do not drink and drive!
Today’s blog is just a fun blog, my own little contribution to the Halloween occasion. Do you call Halloween a holiday, event, or an occasion? Which one is politically correct?
No matter, it is not the direction I intended this blog to be. What I intend on sharing with you all is Halloween parties! How many of you have attended a work related Halloween Party? Was it a costume affair? If so, how many of you struggled on picking out the right costume to wear and what criteria did you use to choose it? Did you worry about things such as: “Will my costume be appropriate, offend anyone, be politically correct (especially if you work a State or City job), too sexy, etc”. I know I did for years! Now I don’t care as much as I used to. I dress for comfort and for my style, what feels right for ME! But like I said, it wasn’t always like that. I used to be one of those that worried about things like that and how it would reflect on me as a person and even more so as a worker for the company I was with. I worried that if what I wore to Halloween parties would jeopardize my job!
Once I came to realize that I was a true asset to the company I worked for, those fears diminished. As long as my work was quality and done with integrity I felt secure, and I was right. I could wear just about anything and get by with it, to Halloween parties that is! I started to wear some pretty bizarre costumes after that and had a great time confusing co-workers of who was under the disguise. So tell me, do you or did you have fears when dressing up for costumed theme Halloween Parties for work? Were you ever apprehensive when choosing one? What was the craziest costume you ever sported and what were the reactions you got? What is one costume you wish you were brave enough to wear but never have!
I hope everyone has a wonderful night tonight, no matter what you are doing and that you have a great weekend as well!

Recession Proof your Heart

The recession has brought a lot of stress into people’s lives leaving a healthy heart at risk! Now is the time to take a few extra steps to make sure your heart makes it through the recession with the rest of your body!
Some of the main factors that affect a person’s heart are stress, anxiety, elevated blood pressure, and depression, all things common with the affects of the recession! Dealing with the increasing financial uncertainties can be devastating on ones health and heart. Because of this it is even more important now, than ever before, to pay extra close attention to your general health and the health of your heart! There is a lot you can do to help protect your heart and improve your health without causing you more stress to your already drained wallet.
Start off by limiting your stress. There is no reason to continually subject yourself to bad news. Stop looking at your 401K and investments daily. Believe it or not, your body reacts chemically each time you subject yourself to stress creating hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline. If you are already at risk of heart disease an increase of these hormones can be very risky if not deadly.
Get your body moving. Exercise is important anyhow, but when stress levels are heightened it is not only important, it is a must! Get out and walk, do jumping jacks, run stairs – it doesn’t matter what, just do it!
Make sure you get enough sleep! Often times with so many other things running through our brains it is hard to get a good night sleep, yet it is imperative that you do! Sleep is the time when your body restores itself; lack of it will result in your body draining itself more and more each day. Not only that, lack of sleep can add more stress to your life by causing more stress and unnecessary oversights.
Stay away from the junk food! Eat healthy and make sure you eat regular meals! Do not fall into the trap of depression eating, or under eating due to depression. If you have to, make yourself eat even if it is an apple and work your way up!
Keep your spirits in check. It is common for the affects of the recession to bring on varying levels of depression. Depression not only affects a person’s outlook on life, but also the health of their heart. It is important to know the signs of depression within yourself and loved ones to get it in check before it takes over. If you or a loved one begins to have prolonged periods of sadness, a loss of interest in things they typically enjoy, signs of sleeplessness, anxiety, loss of concentration, or at worse, thoughts of suicide seek medical help immediately. Do not allow the recession to beat you or your heart through depression!
Now is not the time to be trying to drown your sorrows in alcohol either! Alcohol is a depressant, and when one is not already in a very positive mood, alcohol only compounds the problems, plus it is not good for your body.
Try to maintain a routine, it will help you to keep feeling in control of the direction of your life.
No matter how tight your budget may be, if you are on prescription maintenance medicine, make sure you take it as prescribed. That is not optional and something that should never be considered as a option. If you find you cannot afford your meds any longer, talk to your doctor. They may be able to give you samples to help you get through the hard times or give you other options.
And last but not least, learn to relax! I know, easier said than done at times, but again, necessary. Take some time to focus on nothing else in your life but the good things, the blessings, both small and big. And smile!
Sure, none of these will make the recession go away, but they will help your heart and your soul get through it much easier and healthier.

Recession Proof your Winter

Fall is here and with the fall season comes the cooler temperatures as winter quickly creeps up on us all. The recession will play a huge role in many lives this cooler season due to the unfortunate rise in cost of living through higher utility bills and more.
I though I would take this time to share with you all a little breath of fresh air as we fall onto times that are more expensive and maybe some relief on those as well. We do not need to let the recession beat us; rather we can beat it.
Here are just a few tips to help you beat the recession during these cooler and downright freezing months ahead!
As everyone is quite aware of, gas usage goes up during the fall and Winter Months. Furnaces are being turned on to take the chill out of the air in the fall and then move on to run non-stop during the winter months. During the winter, people begin to warm their vehicles up before leaving t o work as well. A couple things that will help lower your gas usage are:
Only warm your vehicle for no more than 5 minutes before you leave to work. Car pool if you can! Keep your home thermostat set at no more tan 68 degrees while you are at home and then turn it down 2 degrees before you leave to go to work and when you go to bed at night. Pull the blankets out and wear socks during you awake hours at home. Remember during the summer when you were so hot that you were turning the thermostat down to 68 just to cool off? Use that as your inspiration to remember that 68 degrees is really not that cold.
Electric bills go up as well during the fall and winter months. It is darker out earlier therefore at times it seems like every light on the house goes on, especially if you have kids! Put sticker reminders at all your light switches reminding yourself and others that if you are not using the room, shut off the lights. Regardless if your water heater is gas or electric, turn it down just a couple degrees. You would be amazed at the savings!
During the fall and winter months, produce prices go up as well. They are out of season and are being shipped in from areas where it is still feasible to grow. If you plan ahead during the later summer months and early fall you can stock up on many produce items and freeze or can them up for the winter. You can easily save a couple hundred dollars by just doing this!
Remember, just as home expenses go up, so does industrial expenses. And just how do they make up for their extra expenses – they raise their prices. It would be nice if homeowners could do the same, but we can’t unless we start charging the little ones, cats, dogs, and the occasional mice that want to set up house in our homes during the winter for our increased expenses.
If you use common sense alone, you can cut back on some of those expenses. Putting plastic up on windows, closing off rooms not used, insulation strips on doors and window seals, and throwing on a sweater or blanket rather than turning up the heat all help! The recession doesn’t have to hold you back from being comfortable or going broke. You can prosper if you want if you want it bad enough. To learn more about how you can prosper during the recession visit the Turning Point.

Holloween Parties and Costumes

It’s Halloween week, a week for ghost and goblins, if you believe in that stuff that is. With Halloween comes parties, both on a social level and work level often times, from dress up to dress down to bring on your best Halloween costume you can come up with. If you are faced this week of scrambling to come up with the perfect Halloween costume, but you are on a strict budget due to the recession, allow the recession to be your inspiration!
The recession doesn’t have to stop you from partaking into everything, and that goes for Halloween parties too. As far as Halloween costumes go, the great thing about them is you can go as cheap or as expensive as you want to. Playing off the recession theme you could dress up as a repo man, job seeker, or the Bear Market, all pretty scary!
There are not too many that are not far away from being just a paycheck away from not being able to afford their car payment now days, so the repo man may be just as scary as running into Freddy Kruger face to face! Although this costume, as well as the rest may be in bad taste to some, they are definitely a reality and if you can’t find some way to make for one day, you may just drive yourself insane! The look is easy to capture and cheap too. A casual pair of jeans, tee shirt and a ball cap wore backwards can cover it. Carry a clip board with repo man written across it with a black Sharpie, throw a wrench in your back pocket and you got it covered. You can add some humor to your costume by borrowing a child’s toy tow truck and carrying it along with you.
For the unemployed, hunting for work and tireless interviews is no laughing matter, so if you are unemployed, why not at least get a little fun out of it, and really play up the part on Halloween. Pull out your interview best attire, grab a brief case, and fill it with resumes. You never know when you just might run into a perspective employer!
Playing the part of the Bear Market might just get you a few hateful jabs, but again, an opportunity maybe to get back at the Bear by using a bear costume you can rent from any party supply store and then thro a fake arrow that you wear on the head appearing that it is going through the skull. To make sure nobody mistakes you as just a bear, make a red arrow out of cardboard and affix it to the costume in the front pointing down, and everyone will quickly figure out that you are a walking dead Bear Market.
I am sure many of you can come up with many clever ideas to have a chance to poke fun at the recession this Halloween, but just remember, the recession doesn’t have to hold you back! You can achieve anything you want if you want it bad enough. To learn more about how you can be all you can be visit the Turning Point.

Happy Monday

Happy Monday, or at least I hope it is a happy Monday. The news these days isn’t looking real promising as far as the employment rates. Unemployment is at an all time high and many families are suffering seriously due to it – loosing vehicles and homes while still struggling to find employment. It is really ugly and hard at times to find much positive about anything. It is times like this everyone needs to pull together and try even harder to find the good in the world and keep the faith that this too shall pass. Not always easy, understandably so- but more necessary now than ever before.
I woke up today with the these lyrics in my head, don’t know why, but was my inspiration in writing this blog. The lyrics go like this “You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away and know when to run…” and my thoughts were, if that isn’t a perfect representation of life in all aspects I don’t know what is. Now, I know the lyrics will be stuck in your head all day too like mine. But that’s good actually because it just may help, if even one person, to know either when they have done all they can on a personal level, in a relationship, or in business and move on, or to know when they need to try maybe just a little bit harder.
In life there are struggles, some easier than others. You can either fight your way through them or fold and start over. Some struggles are well worth the fight, others it is wiser to just fold and move on. No matter what decision you make, it is not failure, as long as you walk away with your head held up high and improve upon yourself and your world. In other words, if you are struggling in a dead in relationship, drop it and move on with your head held up high. When you start a new relationship, take your lessons from your previous relationship, and improve on a new one. It goes the same for business, financial venture, every aspect of your life.
The great thing about life is we do have options and no matter what is going on nothing can take that away from us. They can take the job, the car, and even the house, but only you can allow them to take your pride. To learn more ways on how you can improve upon yourself in all aspects of your life, visit the Turning Point and have a terrific Monday!
I thought I would leave you with a clip off YouTube of the song “The Gambler” by Kenny Rodgers. Enjoy!

Fall is the beginning of rebirthing…

Fall is natures way of rebirthing. For nature, it is the chance for things to shed off the old and prepare for the new, and to prepare for the much needed rest over the winter months. People on the other hand are not quite as lucky. Nature doesn’t necessarily give us a down time to rest and be rejuvenated for another new season. We just keep trudging along. Wouldn’t it be nice to have the winter off, say use your basement for your cave and hibernate away not to show again till Spring has hit? Okay, maybe not such a wonderful idea for those who love to soak up the snow on the slopes or on snowmobiles, ice fishing, and all the other fun stuff of winter, but just the idea of a rest, where the world just stops for a little while. Where there would be no bills needing paid, phones needing answered, diapers needing changing, groceries needing bought and the list could go on forever I am sure! Awe… just the thought makes me jealous of nature, even a little sad as I know it is not reality… buuuuuutttttttttt…… there are other ways we can get a little rebirthing of our own! Yes, believe it or not, it is true!
For example, a friend of mine gave me much inspiration in her way she gets a little rebirthing. In the Fall she and her boys collect the pods off her Hosta’s and they harvest the seeds. You may wonder what is so re-birthing about that – well, while it is still winter and not quite yet spring her boys and her plant the Hosta seeds in their own individual little containers where they nurture them through out the cold months to the young days of Spring. They do not do it for their own flowerbeds, as they have more than their share of flowers and greenery, they do it to resale them to others who need the power of nature in their lives. They don’t sell them for any huge profit, a little extra change for her boys to buy something little and special they want, but only for a couple bucks each, well under what they can be purchased for instead. The project of working alongside her children she says brings youth to her soul, getting their hands into the dirt brings the realization that anything can grow if it is nurtured, and the smile that is brought to all of their faces as they see the little seedling popping through it’s dirt bed are just some of the revitalization she receives from their yearly project. Then when they can bring the love of nature’s beauty to others, it completes the circle; it completes her rebirthing.
Okay, digging or playing in dirt may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Others may find just as much revitalization but a motivational speaker. Sometimes we just need to here ways that we can accent our lives to help us achieve all we can be - something that gives us a new purpose, perspective, or just simple refreshment on life. If you are seeking a rebirthing experience in your life, some inspiration, check out The Turning Point Seminar. And by all means find some time this weekend to relax and enjoy some quality down time. Have a great weekend!

When to let go…

Do you know when to let go? I am not just talking about relationships but also excessive baggage as well. Excessive baggage can be anything from some old tube socks you wore when you played football in Jr. High School to a wrong that was done to you as early as a week ago to as long as 20 plus years ago. Do you know when to let go those things that are living in your head and your living space rent-free?
If you hold onto everything in your past your surroundings become cluttered to where it makes it next to impossible to move around. Same thing goes with your head. You only have so much space up there for storage, and honestly, wouldn’t you rather fill that space up with the good things from your life?
Have you ever watch the TV show Hoarders? It airs on A&E TV. Hoarders are very much like anyone who allows excessive baggage to overcome their space in their emotional life. As one would learn from watching the show Hoarders - when one does not allow themselves to let go, it can manifest into a serious issue. Letting go can be one of the hardest things a person may have to do in their life, but also one of the most freeing. Imagine that everyday of your life you were required to carry a large burlap sack. Every day 10 marbles would be added to your sack and you are not allowed to give any of them away. For a while, the marbles may not hinder your life but as time carries on, and the sack begins to get heavier, they do start to interfere with your normal functions. As more time goes by and your sack gets even heavier, it can become unbearable. It is not until you are free of all those excessive marbles that you can feel free.
Do you have a burlap sack? What weighs down your burlap sack? Is it time to let some that you carry go? If you would like to learn more about letting go - check out The Turning Point Seminar.

Relationships are like a book…

Has anyone ever heard that metaphor before? Well, if you think about it, they are. You begin a book with anticipation just as you do a relationship, in hopes that it will be great from start to finish – sometimes they are, sometimes they are not – just like relationships.
When you start reading a book, you do not know exactly how it is going to end. When it is a great book, you just want it to go on forever and when the book isn’t so great, you may not finish it.
I am going to lead you into a few more metaphors in regards to relationships and would like to see how many you can come up with too!
Relationships are like a great cup of coffee - good to the last drop!
Relationships are like an obstacle course – tons of challenges, twist, and turns, not knowing for sure if you will make it through to the end, but know if you stay strong with your partner you will both come through at the end together!
Relationships are like a rollercoaster – full of ups and downs, and even totally being put upside down – some of it fun and exhilarating, some of it scary as all beat out, but at the end you are left smiling.
Relationships are like a snowball - as it rolls down the hill it collects more snow making it next to impossible to roll a the enlarged snowball back up the hill, as in a relationship, as it ages it collects all the good and bad which makes it hard to consider losing it.
Relationships are like a pressure cooker. If you use it right, the end results will be delicious, but if you use it wrong you will have a huge mess on your hands!
Okay, that is the end of mine.. It is your turn now. Show me what you have! If you would like to learn how to make any relationship, - business, pleasure, or personal – better, check into the Turning Point Seminar.

Tuesday magnetism

Tuesday is here and I am sure if you are here you made it through Monday, hopefully with a smiling face! Did you know your smile alone can improve your personal magnetism? Do you know what that can mean to the passion in a relationship? Va---Voooooom! How would you like to turn up your personal magnetism? If you are in a relationship it can only accentuate your already existing bond. If you are not in a relationship and are seeking that perfect person to accent your life, turning up your personal magnetism will bring you more options than you will be able to handle.
Everything plays into everything when it comes to ones attitude. Allow me to explain that statement. Everything you do in life plays off your attitude. A shitty attitude doesn’t bring a forward a very bright life nor does it bring on very healthy relationships. People who carry around negativity and/or a poor attitude are only going to attract likewise individuals if anyone at all.
To begin improving your personal magnetism you must first visualize yourself as someone worthy of such attention, because everyone is and everyone has it in them to be a magnet! Yes! Even you! If you would like to learn how you too can attract great people into your circle like a magnet check out The Turning Point Seminar.

Dreaded Monday?

How was your weekend? Was it a happy stress free one? I hope so!
How many felt the dread waking up this Monday morning? It seems to be a common trademark of Mondays’ and that is really too bad. Monday’s don’t need to be dreaded. Okay, I am not saying you need to embrace them with all you have, but Monday’s could be considered a fresh start rather than the dreaded thought of another long work week.
Perception is everything! It is in how we perceive things, which determines a huge percentage of the outcome. If you perceive your day to be one of dread, more than likely you will get what you wished. It you start every day with an optimistic attitude, your chances of having a productive day rises. Add enthusiasm, determination, and do it all with a happy face and attitude and even the worse thing that could go wrong won’t be near as disastrous.
When we are working throughout our day and something turns foul, it is even more important for us to revamp our attitudes. Yes, you may be ticked off, and understandably so, and maybe even feel a little defeated, but now is not the time to succumb to those feelings. When in war, if you don’t fight back you lose. No, you are not pulling out the guns and ammo, killing off the enemies – you might find out the enemy is yourself! Fighting back simply means re-strategizing – regrouping – possibly delegating out some work – and putting on a positive attitude! Yes, sometimes it can be hard to pull it back together, but it is harder to continue with a shitty attitude!
“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”. ~ Albert Einstein Don’t drive yourself insane. You have it within you to make the necessary changes to turn any situation around if you dig deep enough within and apply the right attitude. You can achieve anything you want. ~ Let the Turning Point Seminar help you achieve all you can be.

It’s Friday! Are you Happy?

Okay everyone, it is Friday. Depending on what time of day you are reading this your work week is over or at least you know it is only hours away until the weekend is yours. So are you happy? Even though it is Friday there are still many people who do not feel happy, that even the thought of the weekend of no work arriving does nothing for their inner feelings. When a person feels exhausted, alone, dissatisfied, empty, and/or frustrated, the feeling of happiness is far off. But this is the time you really should not give up on striving to be happy. Do not accept status quo and leave your fate in mercy. It is the time to gather all your forces, and change your life today to become happy!
How, you may ask, does one become happy? Here are a few tips to help you find your inner happiness. If you are feeling down, use your weekend off using these tips to begin the healing process and bring the happy back.
Define the things that are important to you. Not only what they are, but how they make you happy.
Think of the last time you really felt happy. Where were you? Were you with anyone? What were you doing? Now is a great time to revisit that feeling.
Devote more time to things that are important to you and simple everyday things that make you happy if it is hanging out with a friend, gardening, eating a nice meal, whatever.. just do it!
Find small things that bring a smile to your face. A favorite cologne, a book, visiting relatives, conversation with a close friend, etc..
Think positive! Write on a paper your positive points and all those things that give you happiness.
Evaluate the positive pieces in your life. Embrace the greatness of them and you!
The concept of happiness is a personal matter and each of us to find happiness must search through our self. The best think you can do for your life is to change your life today and be happy! And BY ALL MEANS… HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!!
What makes you happy? Have you achieved it? If you would like to learn more about how you can achieve a personal well-being that leads to a pure sense of happiness, please visit The Turning Point.

Holidays are coming, so is stress… How to be happy even under stress

Yikes!!! The holidays are right around the corner. There is so much to do, so much planning, shopping, cooking, and more planning, and time constraints, and often times, - too often – family conflicts. What does this all spell out? STRESS!!! And lots of it unfortunately. I mean, after all, isn’t the holidays suppose to be joyous, carefree loving times? Happy times? You would think, but too often the stress that can come with it can be so overwhelming, and if not dealt with correctly, can make holidays anything but joyous for some. So just how do you go about being happy even under immense stress?
Well you can start with a smile. Seriously… a smile can be all it takes to start turning the stress from its damaging state to a productive state. Yes, stress can be productive. Think about when you have company coming on short notice. You are under the clock and you want your home to be presentable as well as yourself. In no time flat you have ran through the house and gave it a good appearance of clean as I call it and made it to the bathroom to freshen up and toss on a little smelly. You are ready to greet your guest when they arrive moments later. That is productive stress. Same way with deadlines.. The clock is ticking down and the stress is building up, after a couple screams your determination not to be beat kicks in and that stress becomes the driving force to your on time project completion.
When under stress during the holidays seasons, think of the outcome, what you are trying to achieve – may it be a pleasant and tasty meal, a tree full of gifts under it, or peace and good will to all mankind (okay, that is a huge order, but you get the idea) and focus on that goal. When working the overtime think about your children or the persons delight they will have when you achieve the ability to purchase that perfect gift you been wanting to get them but just couldn’t afford. Do not dwell on the fact that you are burning the candle at both ends. I know when I am working and am becoming drained I remember why I am doing it, why I strive so hard, and then the stress turns into my energy base.
Here are some tips on how to be happy even under stress that will help you get through the rough spots during the holidays or anytime for that matter.
1) Recall happy memories and focus on them.
2) Stop what you are doing and find a reason to smile. Say you are baking a pie – pat some flour on your face just because and look at yourself. Smile! Remember why you are baking and the smiles it will bring to those peoples faces that are devouring every morsel. Find a reason to find a little humor or smile.
3) Pick up the phone and call someone who is a positive person in your life, call a friend, have a laugh. Just take that break and make a connection – yes… reach out and touch someone.
4) Breath!!!! Yes, often when under stress your breathing pattern even changes. Stop, sit down, and breath in--- breath out---.
5) Make lists! They are a great booster if you make them right! Don’t write 1. Clean house. 2. Prepare food. etc… Break down your tasks in small steps like... 1. Make bed, 2. Change toilet paper roll, 3. Clean toilet, 4. Dust living room, 5. Dust den, 6. Sweep kitchen floor, 7. Mop kitchen floor, etc… - that way you get to cross off a lot of stuff more frequently. The better organized you are the less stress you will feel as well.
What do you do to help alleviate stress in your life – holidays or not? What makes you happy? Have you achieved it? If you would like to learn more about how you can achieve a personal well-being that leads to a pure sense of happiness, please visit The Turning Point.

How does being happy change ones fate?

Who the heck wouldn’t want to be happy in the first place, it is one of life’s priceless treasures, but not only that, being happy does have a significant impact on your fate. Think about it for a minute. If you were to go around in a gloom all the time, do you think great things would come your way? No. Seriously, who wants to befriend a gloomy person, hire a gloomy person, or marry little lone date a gloomy person?
Being happy is a positive attitude and everyone knows a positive attitude negates negativity. Positivity shows ambition, desire, dreams, hopes, future, and inspiration. A positive person generates positivity and inspires others. A positive person is happy. This doesn’t mean that the happy person is dripping in gold, driving the fanciest car, independently wealthy, or living in a mansion. It simply means that they know who they are and are content with that. They know that they can achieve whatever it is they need to achieve as long as they stay positive and surround themselves with likewise people. If that cannot change someone’s fate, I would like to know what could!
An unhappy life only leads people to take unnecessary risks that never provide a solution to the problem, being unhappy. For example, entering into an extramarital affair when your marriage hits a lull, or buying a fancy car just because you feel it will feel a void or give you a lift in life, or moving into an expensive house on a day old bread store budget to attempt to feel like you “fit in” somewhere. Being happy isn’t seeking out others to make you happy, having possessions, or trying to “fit in”.
One will never find true happiness by taking unnecessary risks or filling up their lives with useless items. Eventually they will realize that the unhappiness they were trying to drown still exists. This type of behavior just manifests itself to a never-ending cycle of looking for more, asking for more, and feeling more and more alone, confused and dissatisfied. Happiness is in you, you just have to be willing to search it out within yourself first.
What makes you happy? Have you achieved it? If you would like to learn more about how you can achieve a personal well-being that leads to a pure sense of happiness please visit The Turning Point.

Feeling down? How do you break the blues?

Have you ever heard the saying that no one can make you unhappy, sad, etc… op you believe it? To a extent it is true, you choose what and how things are going to effect you, whether it be happy or sad. Some situations you are going to be sad, heart broken, or even downright distraught about a situation or event in your life. Death, divorce, and lost employment are a few examples. It is in how you handle it after the initial sadness is what determines how healthy you handle disturbing life events.
With death, there is the typical grieving process, which varies in duration from one person to the net. Divorce is similar that each individual handles it differently according to the reasons that led to the divorce. Loss of employment can seem like death, but dwelling on the loss instead of getting up, brushing off, and starting over again can be the difference between a fulfilling happy life or one that is lived in misery.
Broken relationships are no different in the matter of moving past the event. If people would learn to process their emotional events in their life, work through them, take the good from them as well as the hard knocks lessons and move on, they would find their lives much more fulfilling and awarding. Dwelling only leads to excessive blues that can become compounded with other issues if one doesn’t work through the bad.
So you are feeling down, it could be as simple as the weather that is making you blue or to anyone of the previous mentioned events that is holding you down but you know you need to break the blues. So how do you go about it? Here are a few suggestions that will help you work towards breaking those blue days.
A person learns to be more content when they stop comparing their lives to everyone else’s, comparing possessions, and even relationships. There will always be people that have it better off than you, as well as there will always be people who have it worse than you. If you keep comparing yourself to those who have more possessions, better relationships, and etc., you will always be unhappy or not fully content. Possession and even relationships compliment us as a person, they do not make us.
People learn to be content when they accept the fact that there is something’s in our lives that we simply do not have any control over, such as death. No matter how much we may want to change something, there are some things you will never be able to change. In relationships for instance, you cannot make someone love you no matter how hard you try. Heck, you can’t even make someone like you if they chose not too. You do not have control over that person’s emotions, thoughts, feelings, soul, or heart no matter how much you wish you did so stop dwelling on it, brush off and push on.
To thy own self be true is the key to contentment. As longs as you concentrate on the things you can change and not the things you have no control over, you will find contentment.
What makes you happy? Have you achieved it? How do you go about getting over the blues? If you would like to learn more about how you can achieve a personal well-being that leads to a pure sense of happiness please visit The Turning Point.

What makes you happy?

It’s Monday, the start of a new workweek. Another week down and infinity left. Sometimes that infinity can be a real downer when you are drained and feeling less than inspired. So when you are having one of those not so chipper days, how do you turn it around? What makes you happy?
Conventional wisdom says that happiness lies with one self and no one can make you happy and genuine happiness is a state of contentment, a peace of mind, and sense of well being regardless of outward circumstances going on in your life. Sounds good doesn’t it? How many of you believe it to be true, that no matter what is going on in your life you can be happy?
A common denominator with all people is we all desperately seek to be happy. When was the last time you heard of someone purposely trying to seek unhappiness? Even in the Declaration of Independence, second paragraph, it declares that the pursuit of happiness is one of our inalienable rights. And by golly some people take that right to extremely literally and will roll over anyone who gets in their way of achieving what they deem the ultimate happiness. However, happiness and contentment isn't getting what we want, but being satisfied with what we have. This doesn’t mean we have to accept status quo, just know your limitations. Some people in their pursuit of happiness are spending themselves into financial ruin in an attempt to capture it. But it seems the harder they try, the more futile their quest.
I wonder at times if people really realize when they have achieved ultimate happiness, if they even recognize or if there are people that no matter how much they have in possession, wealth, and health can never truly be happy. One reason so many people are unhappy with their status quo is that they really haven’t taken the time to figure out just what really makes them happy. A successful person isn’t necessarily happy, so using that as a measurement of happiness can be a bad standard to set.
Be true to thy own self…and if you are unhappy, look inside and you will find the answer…Happiness has nothing to do with possessions, environment, or health, it has to do with contentment.

Sometimes even on Saturday...
Friday is finally here. For many that means tomorrow can be a day of rest and relaxation, not having to get up before the sun, and being able to spend time with family and/or friends. For others, Saturday is just another day of the workweek. For those of you who will still be on the clock tomorrow, take pride in knowing that prosperity has no limits, even if it means having to work on a Saturday.
When you work those Saturdays when you would rather be doing anything else in order to take care of a household is a great role model. In order to be a great leader, you have to be a great role model. Some things in life come easy for some people, others have to really work at all that they achieve. The thing that sets the winners apart from the ones who struggle is the ambition, desire, inner strength, and determination it takes to do what has to be done regardless if they always like it or not. I really don’t know of anyone who likes working 24/7, but in a start up business, or even in building a family, 24/7 is what it takes. A great leader has a set vision and will do what it takes to achieve that vision, be it in family, relationship, or business. A great leader is able to inspire others to see their vision and work towards that vision together in all aspects of life. A great leader will win in love, life, and business every time. If you wish to embrace your inner strength and become a great leader visit: The Turning Point ~
Have a great weekend everyone!

Please and Thank You ~ Just a couple of the magic words.
Have you ever noticed how persuasive a child can be around Christmas time, or their birthday? Do you recall when you was a child? Do you recall when you wanted something really bad you thought you would just die if you didn’t get it? Now, do you remember to what great lengths you would go to get what your heart desired? That was persuasion at its finest. What is in everyone from the moment of birth is the art of persuasion. From the way we cooed to the great persuasive lines we would come up with to convince our parents just why it was so important that you received that dream toy to the extent we would even say we would never ask for anything EVER again, or clean our room daily. Regardless if we truly meant it, at the moment we meant it with everything we had in our little bodies.
Granted, some could see that as manipulative, and in a sense, it was when we were young. Heck, some could even say that the deep heart felt promises of cleaning our rooms and never asking for a single thing ever again was lying, and in a sense they would be right as well. Both manipulation and lying are not great leadership skills, but the fact that we all were born with the art of persuasion does show we all have the ability to be great leaders.
The art of persuasion don’t mean you have to have the skills of a slick salesman, it just means you have the skills it takes to bring others to see your point of view using logic, reason, and emotion. A great leader inspires cooperation not by intimidation, but rather inspiration by talking from the heart. After all, think about it, as a child when we tried to persuade our parents to do fulfill our desires, we did so from our hearts.
If you wish to embrace your inner strength and inspire instant cooperation from others visit: The Turning Point ~

A great leader inspires cooperation not by intimidation, but rather inspiration by talking from the heart. After all, think about it, as a child when we tried to persuade our parents to do fulfill our desires, we did so from our hearts.
